ZIP code 40229 has six schools serving prekindergarten through grade 8: five elementary schools for PK–5 and one middle school for grades 6–8. Together they enroll 3,163 students, from 359 at Maryville Elementary School to 757 at Knight Middle; four schools are in Jefferson County and two in Bullitt County.
