Meyzeek Middle in Louisville, Kentucky, serves grades 6–8 and enrolls 847 students. Its latest state test results show a sharp difference by grade: eighth-graders scored 53% in math and 49% in reading, compared with 27% and 35% for sixth-graders. Eighth-grade math and reading were above state rates of 39% and 40%, while sixth-grade results were below state rates of 42% and 54%. The clearest takeaway is that grade 8 is a relative strength, while grade 6 is a marked weak point.

Across tested grades, Meyzeek’s 2025–2026 averages were higher than Jefferson County in every subject, by about 8 to 18 percentage points. Its largest district advantages were in social studies (18 points) and writing (12 points). Compared with the state, however, Meyzeek was ahead only in social studies (9 points), editing and mechanics (3 points), and science (1 point); it was behind in math (1 point), reading (4 points), and writing (4 points). Eighth-grade results stand out among nearby schools: Meyzeek tied with Barret Traditional Middle for second in math, behind Noe Middle, and ranked third in reading behind those same schools.
