Summary

Calloway County High School is a public school in Murray, Kentucky, serving 824 students in grades 9–12. It combines strong results against state and district benchmarks with a meaningful attendance concern: in 2025–26, 26% of students were chronically absent, compared with 15% in the Calloway County district and 24% statewide. The central takeaway is that its test proficiency was above both the district and state in all six reported subjects, even as absenteeism remained high.

Compared with nearby traditional high schools, the picture is more mixed. Calloway led Graves County High School, Mayfield High School and Murray High School in Editing and Mechanics, scoring 58% versus the peers’ 54%, 43% and 56%.
