Ballard County has one middle school, Ballard County Middle School, serving grades 6–8 and enrolling 202 students; its most important finding is that, although it remained above Kentucky on average, its advantage across nine comparable subject-and-grade results narrowed from 15 points in 2024–25 to 7 points in 2025–26.
