Zip code 66423 has two Mission Valley Elementary and Mission Valley Junior and Senior High School, serving prekindergarten through grade 6 and grades 7–12, with 452 students combined. The clearest academic difference is in math and science: in 2025–2026, the junior and senior high scored 47% in math and 44% in science, compared with 29% and 24% at the elementary school. The high school was above state results in those subjects, while elementary results were below the state in all three subjects; both schools were below the state in English language arts (ELA).
