The four schools in Lebo-Waverly serve 517 students: two elementary schools for prekindergarten through grade 5 and two high schools serving grades 6–12. Across the schools, the 2025–26 average in all-grades ELA was 58%, compared with 46% statewide; three schools were above the state average and one was below. The clearest area-wide strength is ELA, but families should know that results vary considerably by school.

Waverly Elementary leads all-grades ELA and math, with 70% and 63% proficient—7 and 13 points above the next-highest school, respectively. Lebo Elementary leads science at 58%, 4 points above the next school and 20 above the state. Its math result, however, is the area’s lowest at 39%, 2 points below the state; in fourth-grade math, it trails the state by 25 points. Waverly High has the lowest all-grades ELA score at 43%, 16 points below Lebo High and 3 below the state, though Waverly High is above the state in math and science.

Recent changes are mixed: from 2024–25 to 2025–26, the average across schools rose 4 points in ELA and 1 in math, but fell 11 in science; the area’s science advantage over the state narrowed from 17 points to 10. Waverly Elementary had the largest change, with science down 29 points, while Waverly High’s SchoolDigger statewide ranking rose from the 9th percentile in 2023–24 to the 95th in 2025–26 despite modest, mixed subject-score changes. School contexts also differ: the elementary schools have similar free/reduced-lunch rates (43% at Lebo and 45% at Waverly) and student-teacher ratios of 13.6 and 12.6, respectively. These figures describe the schools but do not explain their test results; modest school sizes mean results may shift with cohort size.
