Summary:
Chase-Raymond has two schools serving PK through grade 12: Chase Raymond Primary Intermediate School serves PK–7, and Chase High serves grades 8–12. Together, they enroll 120 students. In 2025–2026, the schools’ equal-weight all-grade averages were below the state in ELA, math and science, with science closest: 33% versus 38%, compared with 32% versus 46% in ELA and 24% versus 41% in math. The most important finding is that these averages conceal a wide difference between the schools, particularly in science and math.
Chase Raymond Primary Intermediate School leads in all three reported all-grade subjects: its results were 37% in ELA, 34% in math and 50% in science, compared with 26%, 13% and 16% at Chase High. The gaps were 11 points in ELA, 21 in math and 34 in science. Primary’s science result was also 12 points above the state; its fifth-grade science score was 50% versus 46% statewide. Chase High’s clearest low result was eighth-grade math: 0% proficient versus 40% statewide. Its eighth-grade ELA and science scores were also below state results, by 24 and 21 points, respectively.
Results improved overall in ELA from 2024–2025 to 2025–2026: Primary rose from 33% to 37%, and Chase High from 13% to 26%; the schools’ average gap with the state narrowed from 22 to 14 points. Math progress was mixed: Primary gained 16 points, while Chase High fell 6, even as the average gap narrowed from 20 to 17 points. SchoolDigger’s reported statewide percentile rose from 2 to 43 for Primary and from 2 to 26 for Chase High, though the number of schools ranked varies by year. Chronic absenteeism was 11% at Primary and 37% at Chase High, compared with 18% statewide; Chase High also had a lower student-teacher ratio, 5.7 versus 11. These are notable differences, not evidence that one factor explains test results. Because the schools serve different grade spans, their all-grade results are not same-grade comparisons.
