East Central High School in Saint Leon, Indiana, serves roughly 1,225 students in grades 9–12 and is the only high school in the Sunman-Dearborn Com School Corp, in the Franklin County area. It is by far the largest school in its local group — the next largest, Lawrenceburg High School, has 716 students — and also the strongest. In 2025–26 it ranked 54th of 415 Indiana high schools, placing it in the top 13% statewide with a 4-star rating, and its district ranks 44th of 374, essentially matching the school's standing. After a dip to the 73rd percentile in 2020–21, the school has held steady in the 83rd–87th percentile range for four straight years.

Reading is East Central's standout strength.
