Pike Central High School is a public 9–12 high school in Petersburg, Indiana, serving about 450 students in the Pike County School Corp. It is smaller than nearby Jasper High School, Washington High School, Southridge High School, Princeton Community High School, South Knox Middle-High School, and Barr Reeve Middle/High School, but larger than Tecumseh High School and Waldo J Wood Memorial High. In 2025–2026, the school ranked 274th of 415 Indiana schools (34th percentile, 2 stars). The district ranks 231st of 374 districts (38th percentile, 2 stars). After a 2021–2022 peak at 55th percentile (3 stars), it fell to 25th percentile (1 star) in 2022–2023 and has since recovered into the low 30s.
