Frankton-Lapel Community Schools includes two high schools—Frankton Junior-Senior High School (grades 7–12, 757 students) and Lapel Senior High School (grades 9–12, 462 students)—and the district is ranked 144th of 374 in Indiana, at the 61st percentile with 3 stars. Because Frankton includes middle-school grades, some ILEARN results are reported for it but not for Lapel.

Lapel Senior High School has the stronger overall profile. It earned 4 stars and the 75th percentile in 2025–2026, with 62.79% proficient in SAT Evidence-based Reading and Writing and 35.66% in SAT Math—both above district and state. Its chronic absenteeism is 11.9%, better than the district’s 12.7% and the state’s 16.7%. It also has a lower free/reduced lunch rate (31.17%), a lower student-teacher ratio (13.7), and higher per-student spending ($10,913) than Frankton.
