Greensburg Community Schools

Greensburg Community Schools is a three-school Indiana district serving roughly 2,025 students from prekindergarten through 12th grade. Greensburg Elementary is the largest campus with 975 students in grades PK–5, followed by Greensburg Community High School with 646 students in grades 9–12, and Greensburg Community Junior High with 404 students in grades 6–8. The district overall ranks 126th of 374 Indiana districts, at the 66th percentile with 3 stars — but that single rating masks meaningful differences between the schools.

Greensburg Community High School is the standout, earning 4 stars and top-quartile rankings across three years, a 100.0% graduation rate versus 89.7% statewide, and SAT Evidence-based Reading and Writing of 59.63%, above the state's 51.9%. Its SAT Mathematics, however, was 23.6% — above the district but below the state's 25.6% — and slipped from the prior year. Greensburg Community Junior High posted the most striking result in the data: Biology End of Course at 100% proficient in 2024–25 and 86.96% in 2025–26, far above district and state, though test-taker counts are not given. Its core math and science scores are more mixed.
