Community Schools of Frankfort

The Community Schools of Frankfort district serves about 2,972 students across five PK–12 schools in Frankfort, Indiana: Frankfort High School (grades 9–12, 922 students), Frankfort Middle School (6–8, 654), Suncrest Elementary School (PK–5, 545), Blue Ridge Primary Elementary School (PK–2, 456), and Green Meadows Intermediate Elementary (3–5, 395). Green Meadows Intermediate Elementary is the standout — the district's only 3-star school, leading in every tested subject (46.24% ELA, 47.35% math, 37.38% science), with 3rd-grade math at 61.34%, nearly 10 points above the state. Suncrest Elementary School teaches the same grades 3–5 but trails Green Meadows by 10–14 points in ELA, math, and science, and has the district's highest poverty rate (60.55%). At the secondary level, Frankfort High School graduates 92.1% of students — above the state's 89.7% — but posts 10.09% SAT math proficiency versus 25.6% statewide, and its chronic absenteeism (21.6%) is double the district rate.
