Monticello, Indiana is served by four schools in Twin Lakes School Corp — two elementary schools, one middle school and one high school — covering kindergarten through 12th grade with a combined enrollment of 1,976 students: Twin Lakes Senior High School (grades 9–12, 620 students), Meadowlawn Elementary School (K–5, 533), Roosevelt Middle School (6–8, 500) and Oaklawn Elementary School (K–4, 323).

Roosevelt Middle School is the standout, the only school in the city with 3 stars in 2025–26 (rank 230 of 486, 53rd percentile) and 3 stars across all three years shown. Its all-grade ELA proficiency of 38.1% beats the district's 34.76%, though math (30.95%) and science (36.36%) trail the district.
