Jasonville, Indiana has two public schools in the MSD Shakamak Schools district serving students from prekindergarten through 12th grade: Shakamak Elementary School (PK–6, 384 students) and Shakamak Junior-Senior High School (7–12, 295 students), for a combined enrollment of 679. The district earns 1 star and ranks 291 of 374 Indiana districts, at the 22nd percentile — the bottom quartile of the state.

The two schools have very different profiles. Shakamak Elementary School has excellent attendance: chronic absenteeism of 6.2% in 2024–2025, below the district's 8.7% and less than half the state's 16.7%. High school ELA rose from 19.75% to 23.47%, while math and biology declined.
