Summary:

Zip code 61025 has three schools in East Dubuque Elementary School (pre-K–6, 359 students), East Dubuque Junior High (grades 7–8, 84 students) and East Dubuque High School (grades 9–12, 180 students), all in East Dubuque Unified School District 119. The elementary and junior high report IAR results, while the high school reports ACT and PreACT Secure results. The junior high stands out most in math: its all-grades result was 73%, 33 percentage points above the state’s 40%; its ELA result was 81%, 24 points above the state. The elementary school was also above the state in every reported IAR grade and subject, with all-grades ELA at 72% (16 points above the state) and math at 61% (22 points above). Its grade 6 math lead was the narrowest reported elementary margin, at 9 points. The high school had the weakest state-relative pattern: only two of its six reported subject, grade and exam results were above the state. Grade 9 ELA was a bright spot at 66%, 4 points above the state, while grade 10 math was 22%, 15 points below.

Junior-high all-grades math rose 20 points from 2024–2025 to 2025–2026, while grade 11 ACT ELA at the high school fell 17 points and ACT math fell 9. Student-teacher ratios were 12.4, 12.0 and 8.5, respectively; these figures describe school context and do not explain score differences.
