Summary:
ZIP code 60564 has eight K–5 elementary schools, all part of Indian Prairie CUSD 204. In 2025–26, their average proficiency was 80% in ELA, 74% in math, and 77% in fifth-grade science—above state rates of 56%, 40%, and 48%, respectively. Yet results varied considerably: the school-to-school spreads were 23 points in ELA, 21 in math, and 25 in science. The clearest takeaway is that every school exceeded state rates, but families will find meaningful differences among schools in the ZIP code.
Fry Elementary led in ELA at 89% and fifth-grade science at 89%, while Oliver Julian Kendall Elementary led in math at 83%. At the other end, Arlene Welch Elementary had the lowest results in all three measures: 65% in ELA, 62% in math, and 64% in science. Even so, Welch remained above state rates in each. Patterson Elementary also stands out for a strong ELA result of 87% and the largest recent ELA gain. SchoolDigger placed Kendall at the 98th percentile overall, Fry and Patterson at the 97th, and Welch at the 76th.
Across the area, average ELA proficiency rose 5 points from the prior year, while science rose 10 points; math was essentially unchanged. Patterson had the largest ELA increase, up 14 points, while V Blanche Graham Elementary was the only school with a science decline, down less than a point. Context also differs: schools reported free/reduced lunch eligible rates for school year 2024–25, from 3.3% to 12.8% at six schools, compared with 24% at White Eagle and 29% at Welch. Those figures describe differences among schools, not what caused test results; all schools’ results and circumstances should be considered together.
