ZIP code 60443 has six schools—four elementary and two middle schools—with 2,228 students enrolled and tested-grade results spanning grades 3 through 8. On the 2025–26 All Grades results, the schools averaged 38% proficiency in English language arts (ELA) and 20% in mathematics, compared with 56% and 40% statewide. The clearest area-wide finding is that results trail state levels in both subjects, with the larger average shortfall in mathematics.

O W Huth Middle School leads in ELA at 49%, 13 percentage points above the other five schools’ average, though still 7 points below the state.
