Open Quote My daughter attended Water's Edge, re-named Da Vinci Waldorf School, from preschool through 8th grade. She started high school this year at our local public high school, and she could not have been better prepared. She got so much from her Waldorf education that she took with her into high school, including an abiding love of learning, the ability to make connections between different subjects and ideas, deep and broad curiosity about the world, and strong communication and people skills. She is an accomplished artist, writer, and actor, as well as a versatile musician who can play several instruments, sing, and write music. She can speak both German and Spanish, and is an excellent student in math, science, and history. Something else she got from her experience at Da Vinci Waldorf School that will serve her for the rest of her life is a confidence and authenticity born of real experience doing real things---building an oven, knitting a sock, farming, serving in a soup kitchen--that have helped build her strong character and caring heart. I cannot think of a better preparation for success in this fast-changing world of ours and for growing a happy, well-adjusted human being than a Waldorf education. I cannot think of a nicer place to receive it than Da Vinci Waldorf, where classes are small and the teachers are creative and truly know and love each student. Highly recommend! Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
