Open Quote It is it worth the about $2500 a month per student price. I have compared grades 3-5 learning to a top chicago north suburban grades school 3-5 ands Lab did not teach the grade 3-5 at the same level, but lower. For example, Lab does not offer different math levels like they do in the public north suburban schools. Lab does not give grades to students only 1-3 marks so parents have no idea how their students compare. Lab does not test against these north suburban public schools so parents cannot easily compare. There is a reason for this. It is a poor school considering you can get your child a better education for free in the north suburbs. For people who work at university of chicago they get half off tuition and because there are. I public schools in the area that compare (Lab school is located in chicago's south side not a good area). Lab school is not in central chicago but far south do more like a south suburb. I have also seen student presentations of their writing (4th grade) and there was not many impressive students about 2 of 20. Lab relies on the students themselves being smart and not the school teaching them. Lab will ask dtudents who have attended Lab since. Upsetting school yo leave if at the high school level the student doesn't appear to be able to make them look good with getting the ACT scores they want reflected upon them. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
