St Paul's Lutheran School

St. Paul's is an excellent choice for your child. They will prepare your child academically and spiritually. I'm not certain why the reviewer below has stated that there are many combined classes, as this is simply not true. There are multiple preschool classes. There is also one class each in grades K-8. St. Paul's was and is a great choice for our family.

I cannot in good conscious recommend this school. The main reason is that this school will not adequately prepare your child academically for life in high school and beyond. There are several teachers that do not really 'teach' anything to your child. Do not expect your upper grade students to have any exposure to writing or anything beyond the basic instruction in technology. This school is regressing. It has a severely low student/teacher ratio that has required them to combine many of the classes. The low enrollment has also required them to co-op for sports or to try to combine students over a wide range of classes to even field a team. The administration of this school is severely lacking any direction. Common perception among the parents is that the principal can be compared to a used car salesman that will tell you what you want to hear to your face and then will fail to follow through with any direction at all. The administration does not treat people in a genuine Christian manner; as they will make you feel as if the only thing that really matters is how much money you are bringing into the school and how often you will give more. It is a shame that this school; once a pillar of the community, is slowly dying in the manner it is. I do not foresee this school continuing to remain open for the long term.

As a product of the public school system and a current teacher at St. Paul's, I can confidently say that St. Paul's is an excellent school. St. Paul's provides your child with an excellent Christian-based education, teachers that truly care about your child, and a warm, family environment. Our class sizes provide your child with ample social growth as well as plenty of quality attention from his or her teacher, which can be a difficult balance at public schools with ever increasing class sizes. Children at St. Paul's have many opportunities to be involved in athletics and music. I highly recommend St. Paul's to any family looking to provide their child/children with a high-quality education in a warm and caring Christian environment!
