Open Quote I have a son, age 21, who attended El Vista Baptist Academy from first grade through 12th grade. Currently, he is an honor student at Illinois State University. We feel that El Vista Baptist Academy equiped our son to succeed academically at the University level. More importantly, El Vista Baptist Academy supported the Christian values and training that he was provided at home. From a Christian standpoint, it is my opinoin that my son's knowledge of scripture, and his ability to live out Christian teachings in his daily life was greatly influanced and enhansed through his education and christian training at El Vista Baptist Academy. I also have an eight year old daughter who has attended El Vista Baptist Academy since Kindergarden. I believe that the small school christian culture that El Vista Baptist Academy provides helps children feels safe, secure and cared about throughout the school day. From a social prospective, El Vista Baptist Academy fosters a Christian community in the peer friendships as well as in the teacher to student relationships. I highly recommend El Vista Baptist Academy. Close Quote

Open Quote I love El Vista Baptist Academy. I have been involved since I became pastor of El Vista Baptist Church, and the principal since 1995. Our school is not large, only pre-K through 6th grade. The students are taught by a good group of teachers who are well-prepared for the job. (Graduates of Tennessee Temple, Maranatha Baptist Bible College, Northland Baptist Bible College, and Hyles-Anderson College) They love the students and pray for them daily. My 6 children all attended the academy, and following high school graduation, all are doing well. I recommend that you contact us at 309-692-8675 if you have children who need individual attention (not special ed), and want Biblical values for them. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
