Summary

Mount Carmel High School in Mount Carmel, Illinois, serves grades 9–12 and enrolls 452 students in Wabash CUSD 348. Its most important challenge is that its 2025–26 test results were below both the state and Edwards County High School in every matched ACT and PreACT comparison. For example, Mount Carmel’s grade 11 ACT ELA result was 34%, compared with 50% statewide and 68% at Edwards County; its grade 9 PreACT math result was 18%, versus 42% statewide and 40% at Edwards County. The district’s reported test scores matched Mount Carmel’s in every entry. Grayville Junior Senior High School’s high-school results were not available for these comparisons.

Graduation is a relative strength: Mount Carmel’s 2025–26 rate was 85%, below the state’s 90% but above Edwards County’s 81% and Grayville’s 75%.
