Open Quote Two of my children went through the program and my third is currently there. All of my children are in accelerated classes even in high school. They loved their school experience. They learned a lot of Spanish and understand it, they are put in higher levels in Spanish in high school. Great friends made at the school Close Quote

Open Quote I highly disagree with the previous rating. My 3 children have had very caring invested teachers. We started at HSDL last year and my daughters reading test schore went up 30 points from her previous school. They love school and the diversity is awesome. Close Quote

Open Quote I would not recommend this school even for the enemy. Horrible. Teachers not paying attention to what kids do( they can be given scissors and come home with cut clothes or some other kid will do your kid's heir cut). Teachers totally ignore your parent recommendation ( if your kid is coughing and you would like him/her stay inside in a cold day it does not matter to them they still will do what so ever) I asked the teacher (as it is dual language school and we are non Spanish speaking family) to translate or explain the kids words they have to learn to read and question they need to answer. The teacher sent me a letter (I'll keep it forever) , saying that at that point they do not need to understand the meaning, they just need to read fluently. I will not be even getting into explanations what complications in kid's development it can cause. Another thing bulling. One of my kids (8 yo) was bulled and no one was taking care of it. They even tried to tell me that my 5 year old bit up a 10 year old ( who was previously constantly insulting him and beating him and they never took care of the issue) Teachers encourage the bad manners (burping and farting, humping games, sticking finger in a butt and wiping it on smb elses clothe is fine, or getting buggers out of your nose and wipe it on some one jacket) Bad eating habits are promoted. And believe it or not after all the complains you are going to make, and especially after you have a sick kid thanks to the teacher ignoring your wish of kipping kid inside (I was mad) they will tell you "you need to calm down or we are not going to deal with you as you are rude!" Really! I think I HAVE ALL THE RIGHTS to be mad!!! As all the issues we deal with , all the complications one of my kids has because of the bulling and ignorance of school stuff I think I can be mad and probably even rude. Because it is my kids and every day they go to the school where instead of education we are getting issues. I'm definitely getting my kids out of it Close Quote
