Fremont Intermediate School serves 651 students in grades 3–5 in Mundelein, Illinois. In 2025–26, SchoolDigger ranked it 397th of 1,737 schools statewide, at the 77th percentile with a 4-star rating. Proficiency was 73% in English language arts (ELA) and 59% in math—above state rates of 56% and 40%. The clearest concern is the uneven math performance across grades: fifth-grade proficiency was 46%, 23 percentage points below fourth grade’s 69%.

Fremont’s strongest comparisons are in math: its all-grade rate was 19 points above the state and 5 points above Fremont School District 79.
