Unity Junior High School serves 1,919 students in grades 7–8 in Cicero, Illinois, as part of Cicero School District 99. Its most serious academic concern is 8th grade: Unity’s proficiency was 32% in ELA, 13% in math and 27% in science, below the state rates of 63%, 35% and 52%, respectively; it also scored below every nearby school reporting 8th-grade ELA and science, and was lowest among nearby schools reporting math.
