Trico Junior High School in Campbell Hill serves 182 students in grades 6–8 in southern Illinois. Its clearest strength is English language arts (ELA), while math is a concern and eighth-grade science results are also low. The most important takeaway is that strong ELA performance does not extend to math or consistently across subjects in eighth grade.

ELA is Trico’s strongest result compared with nearby schools, the district, and the state: 63% of students were proficient in 2025–2026, compared with 56% statewide, 58% in Trico CUSD 176, and a 57% average among the other five nearby schools with results.
