Goodwin Elementary School serves 315 students in pre-K through grade 5 in North Aurora, in an area with nearby schools in Aurora West and Batavia districts. Its latest results show a marked academic improvement: in 2025–26, 49% of students were proficient in English language arts (ELA) and 43% in mathematics. The most important takeaway is that Goodwin now exceeds its district in both subjects and the state in math, although ELA remains below the state.

Goodwin’s strongest local result is ELA: it ranked first among seven nearby schools in the Aurora West Unified School District 129 comparison, while its math result ranked second among those district peers. Grade 5 science was also strong at 52%, above the state by 5 points and the district by 17.
