The seven schools in Troy CCSD 30C include five elementary schools and two middle schools, with no high schools, and enroll 3,971 students. Their 2025–2026 school averages were 58% in ELA and 47% in math, compared with state rates of 56% and 40%. The most important takeaway is that school results vary substantially: ELA proficiency spanned 20 points, far more than the group’s 2-point average advantage over the state.

Troy Shorewood led all seven schools in both subjects, at 65.1% in ELA and 57.3% in math; Troy Hofer was close behind in math at 57.0%. At the other end, Troy Craughwell had the lowest ELA result, 45.6%—20 points below Shorewood—while Orenic Intermediate had the lowest math result, 38%, 19 points below Shorewood. Grade results add useful detail: Hofer led the elementary schools in grade 3 ELA and math, while Shorewood led in grade 4 in both subjects.

Recent changes were mixed: the seven-school average fell by 1 point in both subjects from 2024–2025 to 2025–2026, while state averages rose by 3 points in ELA and 1 in math, narrowing the group’s lead. Hofer improved by 8 points in ELA and 5 in math, while Troy Cronin fell by 6 and 7 points, respectively. SchoolDigger gives the district rank 390 of 738, the 47th percentile, and 2 stars; Shorewood’s SchoolDigger percentile fell from 83 to 67 between 2023–2024 and 2025–2026. Cronin has the lowest student-teacher ratio, 9.6, but Shorewood leads at a ratio of 11.8. In 2024–2025, free/reduced lunch eligibility ranged from 38% at Shorewood to 54% at Craughwell; these figures provide context, not an explanation for test results.
