Prairie Grove Central School District 46 has two schools serving Prairie Grove-area students from prekindergarten through grade 8: Prairie Grove Elementary School (PK–4, 552 students) and Prairie Grove Junior High School (grades 5–8, 357 students). In 2025–2026, both schools were above the state in all-grades English language arts (ELA) and mathematics, though their stronger subjects differ. The main takeaway is that both schools outperform state results overall, but families will see different subject strengths at each school.
Prairie Grove Junior High School leads in ELA, with 68% proficient compared with 64% at Prairie Grove Elementary School; both are above the state’s 56%.
