Summary:
Lincolnwood School District 74 has three schools serving prekindergarten through eighth grade: Todd Hall Elementary School (prekindergarten–grade 2), Rutledge Hall Elementary School (grades 3–5), and Lincoln Hall Middle School (grades 6–8). Test results are available for Lincoln and Rutledge, but not Todd, so comparisons between schools with scores describe different grade spans. The clearest finding is Lincoln Hall’s strong ELA performance: its 2025–2026 all-grades result was 81% proficient, 25 percentage points above the state’s 56%.
Lincoln Hall stands out in the reported results, leading Rutledge Hall by 18 percentage points in all-grades ELA (81% versus 63%) and by 3 points in math (49% versus 46%). Both schools were above state results in all-grades ELA and math, but Rutledge’s grade-level results show an important exception: fifth-grade math was 33% versus 36% statewide, and fifth-grade science was 44% versus 48%. Lincoln Hall’s eighth-grade science result, by contrast, was 68%, 16 points above the state. Todd Hall has no supplied test scores, but its chronic absenteeism was lowest among the three schools, at 19% versus 24% at Lincoln Hall and 17% at Rutledge Hall.
Recent results moved in different directions: Lincoln Hall improved by 2 percentage points in ELA and 2 in math from 2024–2025, while Rutledge Hall’s ELA fell by 6 points and its math changed little, from 46.5% to 46.3%. SchoolDigger placed Lincoln Hall at the 79th percentile in 2025–2026, compared with Rutledge Hall at the 54th; Rutledge’s percentile had been 75th the year before, so rankings and scores do not always move together. The 2024–2025 student-teacher ratios were 9.6 at Lincoln, 10.6 at Rutledge, and 11.6 at Todd. The schools’ free/reduced lunch eligible shares were 16%, 13%, and 11%, respectively, in 2021–2022; these are context figures, not explanations for school results.
