Summary:
Kinnikinnick CCSD 131 has four schools—three elementary schools and one middle school—serving students from prekindergarten through middle grades. Supplied 2025–26 test results cover Roscoe Middle School, Stone Creek School and Kinnikinnick School; Ledgewood Elementary School serves PK–1 and has no test scores supplied. The schools serve different grade spans, so their all-grades results are not like-for-like comparisons. The clearest overall finding is that all three schools with results exceeded state proficiency in both subjects, with their average advantage larger in math: 18 points, compared with 11 points in ELA.
The schools have distinct subject strengths. Roscoe Middle School led ELA at 72%, followed by Kinnikinnick School at 71% and Stone Creek School at 59%; Roscoe was 13 points above Stone Creek. In math, Stone Creek led at 62%, ahead of Kinnikinnick at 59% and Roscoe at 51%; its result was 11 points above Roscoe’s. Stone Creek was closest to the state in ELA, exceeding it by 2 points, while its math result was 22 points above the state. Kinnikinnick placed second in both subjects and was more balanced across ELA and math.
Average results rose from 2024–25 to 2025–26, but changes varied by school and subject: ELA’s three-school average increased by 3 points, while math’s rose by 1. Kinnikinnick had the largest reported math gain, up 4 points; Stone Creek’s math fell by 2 points, and Roscoe’s was nearly unchanged. SchoolDigger percentiles declined over the recent period for Roscoe, from 88 in 2023–24 to 75 in 2025–26, and for Kinnikinnick, from 82 to 79. As context, 2024–25 free/reduced lunch eligibility was 31% at Roscoe, 32% at Stone Creek and 31% at Kinnikinnick; Ledgewood reported Community Eligibility, meaning all students receive free meals, rather than a percentage.
