Summary:
Dieterich CUSD 30 has two schools serving grades PK–12: Dieterich Elementary School (PK–6) and Dieterich Junior/Senior High School (7–12). In 2025–26, both schools were above the state in all-grades IAR English language arts (ELA): 72% at Elementary and 70% at the high school, compared with 56% statewide. The clearest concern is the high school’s all-grades IAR math result: 30%, about 10 points below the state and 38 points below Elementary’s 68%.
Elementary stands out for strong results across its reported grade-level tests: it exceeded state benchmarks in every reported IAR grade and subject, including sixth-grade math at 86% versus 36% statewide, a 49-point advantage. Its fifth-grade science result was also above the state, 68% versus 48%. The high school’s ELA results are a strength, 70% overall and 14 points above the state; its math picture is more mixed, with the low all-grades IAR result contrasting with ACT and PreACT math results above their state benchmarks. Because the schools serve different grade spans, their all-grades results are not direct, grade-matched comparisons.
Recent results and school context offer additional points of comparison. From 2024–25 to 2025–26, high-school all-grades ELA rose from 62% to 70%, while Elementary edged up from 71% to 72%; math rose about 1 point at each school. SchoolDigger’s statewide ranking percentile rose from 49th to 81st for the high school over three years, while Elementary remained high, at the 82nd percentile in 2025–26 after reaching 87th in 2024–25; both schools have four SchoolDigger stars. In 2024–25, the high school had a lower student–teacher ratio (13.3 versus 15.2) and a higher share of students eligible for free/reduced lunch (36% versus 28%). Chronic absenteeism in 2025–26 was below the state rate at both schools, especially at Elementary: 4% there and 8% at the high school, versus 24% statewide.
