Open Quote Our three children have attended The Ambrose School over the past 15 years beginning in kindergarten. We now have a graduate, and two high school students. We have walked with the school through many changes and with every change, the school has become an even better place to educate students. There are many opportunities for music, art, media, etc. The success of the mock trial program is unmistakable as the team is repeatedly the state champion or runner-up. The athletic program is top-notch. Most importantly, our children are ready for college. It is evident our oldest, now a junior in college, has succeeded because of the training she received at Ambrose. Close Quote

Open Quote The Ambrose School claims “in loco parentis”; the legal doctrine under which an individual assumes parental rights, duties, & obligations of parents without going through the formalities of legal adoption. This includes rights over students at school & at home, in the community & year round. They can & do punish families for infractions of this policy. To attend here, you must surrender your parenting rights to them. Is that what anyone is looking for in a school?

The Ambrose School embraces inappropriate teacher/student involvement. In our experience teachers spent hours in 1-on-1 “discipleship” time with certain kids which included instruction on who not to talk to & even what parental instructions to disregard. In our opinion this is rife for abusive relationships & left unchecked will lead to tragedy. Are you comfortable with your children alone with a teacher after hours & off campus?

If you love your kids & think God intended YOU to be their parents, don’t send them to this school. It is OUR OPINION that The Ambrose School has declined into a self-righteous waste of time & money – at best. At worst – it’s dangerous. In short, don’t walk away from this school - RUN!
