Open Quote KCS is a low-key school that works hard to live up to its marketing of itself as providing a quality Christian based education in a nurturing environment. Our daughter, who is on the quiet side, has really thrived there and we are excited that the school will be launching a high school in time for her to continue until graduation. Close Quote

Open Quote Kaimuki Christian School is a wonderful school. We have sent all three of our children to that school. They all had high SAT scores and got in to Punahou and Iolani. I believe that Kaimuki Christian is one of Hawaii's best kepts secrets. The school does not claim to be a feeder school to Punahou or Iolani but all of the kids get into great high schools. The principal and the teachers all have excellent educational backgrounds. The principal is a former college professor and has a PhD. The staff at Kaimuki Christian school is loving and kind. The school focuses on creating a well rounded child. We were so extremely happy. I hope our grand children will also one day attend that school. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
