Encouragingly, chronic absenteeism fell from 25.7% to 20.0% — better than Kapolei (21%), Waipahu (22%), and Ilima (23%) — and the student-to-teacher ratio of 14.6 is better than several higher-performing schools. Science proficiency climbed from 23.73% (2023-2024) to 34% to 40%, the only subject where the school now matches a nearby peer. Math, however, has oscillated between 22% and 25.58% for four years. Because attendance and staffing look comparable to or better than outperforming neighbors, the gap most likely reflects instructional and curricular differences rather than resources.
