Davis Academy

I had a child enrolled in Davis. My child actually flunked a major subject matter (i.e., math, English, social studies, etc.). Davis did not require my child to repeat the class the following year nor did it require my child to attend any type of summer school program. They just simply let my child progress to the next grade level and gladly accepted our money.

This school has one focus and it is not in the best interest of the children - it is to raise as much revenue as possible. They teach the children that being in their "private school environment" puts them ahead of their peers who attended public schools within Atlanta (and the greater Atlanta area). However, that is a low bar to try to be above and it sets a false sense of security for Davis students entering high school. The children from Davis do not exceed the capabilities or the scholastic qualities of other children coming from a public school setting within a comparable socio-economic class.
