Against Alpharetta High School (#42) and Chattahoochee High School (#27), Johns Creek leads in most subjects. Its closest rival is Northview High School (#12), just 1.5 miles away, with nearly identical graduation rates, absenteeism, and spending—a healthy competition between two elite schools. Meanwhile, nearby Gwinnett County schools like Norcross High School and Duluth High School show significantly lower proficiency and graduation rates. Johns Creek achieves these results while spending efficiently ($14,813 per student), making it one of the highest-quality public education options in Georgia.

Open Quote The administration is terrible. My child has special needs and the admins care more about sports than academics. The parents care more about how their kids look than the quality of their education. I can totally see why this school DROPPED by 9 places in the last year. They cannot keep a principal. The Booster club cares more about getting a new scoreboard and taking their teams on trips to Washington, DC to get smeared by a far superior football team. They do not care about the development of the CHILD. Close Quote

Open Quote This school has a beautiful and new campus, however do not be fooled. Many of the teachers are incompetent and treat their job like a hobby. The school needs to offer more Honors courses. Although the school does offer lots of AP Courses, some of the teachers can't even teach their own course. The administrator is extremely poor. Counselors are slow and act like you are an inconvenience to them. This is a problem, especially for Seniors with college applications that need the help of the counselors. Close Quote
