Open Quote This school is behind in every aspect. From the moldy old facility to the disrepective Principal and Vice Principal, The only reason we stayed was because our first and second teachers were probably the best the school has to offer. Kindergarten was a joke with the teacher not being replaced with an actual certified teacher. The scores are absolutely terrible once the Children get to the third grade. The children seem to be a little more rough around the edges and lack of
Parent evolvement is obvious.
The bullying situation we had continually was brushed off with the Principle, she never shows respect to the parents and will always address you as "Mom" or "Dad". The Vice Principle also was very unsympathetic when my child needed help finding the bus, which was always breaking down hence needing help with finding the correct one. They never allow the children to interact at lunch, they turn the lights off and play movies that sound like your in a tin can, would drive any sane child mad! The school feels like a prison. No one seems positive except the hand full of teachers and front office and Janitor. The combination of these major factors caused my child such issues along with the scores, building and faculty we moved out of the area. I believe Mr. Morgan needs to replace the Principles and fight for a better building. These kids are suffering and will never catch up. Night and Day with our new school. Our new Cobb co school sends out weekly emails about what's going on and is very involved in every way. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
