Open Quote As a parent of a student from another school that plays in the same sports conference of First Christian Academy, I wanted to give a review of how we were treated when visiting their campus to play a game of basketball. We showed up to play a basketball game and the school administrator (who is also a member of the church there) was extremely rude and uninviting.

Before the game, they called local law enforcement officers to attend the game. That may not be such a big deal, but they have numerous officers surrounding the gym. We had done nothing previously that warranted this. The school administrator made our players and us as fans feel unwelcome as she chastised us as fans. She reminded us that they called law enforcement if we were to 'get out of hand'.

What really bothered us about this was that we have several African American players on our team. I am the last person to pull the 'race card'. But what we witnessed sure smelled like racism. Our girls played a game right before our boys and the law enforcement officers did not attend that game. By the way, there were no African American players on that team. In this day and age where the Church is supposed to be unified, First Christian Academy sure does like to divide. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
