Open Quote After having taught in the PBC public schools Atlantis Academy is a welcome change. It is a small school which has allowed me to get to know each and everyone of my 12 students and their families. The small staff and family-like environment are both supportive and nurturing while pushing our students to be increasingly academically successful. We are able to individualize our program to fit our students' needs. As a result three of my students were able to move up an extra year and all of my students were able to gain at least one year's academic growth. We don't have the FCAT, so we teach real content, real cognitive and meta-cognitive strategies! Specializing in learning difficulties and disabilities, our school is a great fit for any type of learner and a place in which it is a joy to teach! Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
