Believers Academy consistently ranks in the bottom 20% of Florida high schools, with a statewide ranking between 610-816 out of 844 schools over the past 8 years. The school has received a 0-star rating from SchoolDigger for most of this period, indicating very poor academic performance. Its proficiency rates on state assessments are significantly lower than the district and state averages, with only 0% of Believers Academy students proficient in Geometry in the 2024-2025 school year, compared to 56% in the district and 55% statewide. Believers Academy also has a very high chronic absenteeism rate, ranging from 23.4% to 62.3% over the past few years, and low four-year graduation rates, ranging from 30% to 92.1%.

When comparing Believers Academy to nearby schools in the same district, such as Alexander W. The high chronic absenteeism rate and high percentage of economically disadvantaged students at Believers Academy may be contributing factors to the school's poor academic performance, and the school's struggles have persisted over the past 8 years with little to no improvement.

Open Quote The school educates students that are dropping out or being left behind because of their learning difficulties. My child performs at an elementary level but is of high school age. BA not only produces academic gains according to my child's present levels of performance (not the states measures which are inappropriate for my child) but they ensure my child has the skills to transition to adulthood and be a successful working person. This school is a blessing for any student that needs a personalized education and transition. Close Quote
