Open Quote Pinecrest Glades can be a better school but this year was a horrible in all aspects compare to the other academicas schools. If parent who said liked it better than the first year it must of been because they got the teacher they requested or a good teacher who truly did her job inside of that classroom. The music program is truly very very weak. They should have more than one Spanish teacher in order to help these kids. One Spanish teacher can only do so much but again some parents complain about spanish when is not the Spanish teachers fault. Middle school does not offer Spanish which they should. It will be great for this school to offer more than just one language that the kids can learn specially being a school that is all about academics. The teachers are not as great and for those who get placed in some of this grade levels not sure how they get placed because some of them when it comes to teaching this kids they lack what they are put to teach, they have no patience, some can get really nasty with the kids, some have no class room management, and yes, I get how some kids can get but if you love what you do in that classroom and want to see that child improve you will find a better way of finding something positive to help that child instead of being so negative and saying things to label that child in a bad way. I also understand not all kids make a good match with certain teachers just like not all teachers match the grades they are teaching. Another thing I see, there is no balance on how this kids are getting placed and just becomes a big mess once school starts. The school does not offer a truly gifted program like other schools and some times the information you get informed is not what truly is at the end. When it comes to sports, the school does not offer but maybe one or two. The school does not have a library, the school lacks on activities , the communication is done one week or the week of something happeningThey are not preparing the kids the way they need to get prepared . I truly do not recommend this charter school for now but I have hopes things will get better for Glades in maybe 2 years. Hopefully this schools gets better or make some positive changes. Changes always come great when they know the areas they need to work on and they truly care about what is best for this kids. You got it this year Glades!!!! Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio
Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
