Summary

Mason Classical Academy is a K-12 charter school in Naples, FL, serving 1,509 students within the high-performing Collier County School District, and it stands out as a top-tier academic leader in the area.

Mason Classical Academy consistently outperforms both the district and state averages across nearly all subjects, with particularly impressive results in high school. For example, the school achieved 100% proficiency in U.S. History and 97% in Biology 1, compared to district averages of 72% and 76%, respectively. It also boasts a perfect 100% graduation rate for five consecutive years and an exceptionally low chronic absenteeism rate of 6.8%, far below the district's 17.4% and the state's 31.4%. This level of success is not uniform among nearby classical schools; for instance, Optima Classical Academy has an 84.5% chronic absenteeism rate and a 40% proficiency rate in Algebra 1, while Naples Classical Academy shows solid but lower performance, such as 70% in U.S. History. The contrast is even starker with The Phoenix Program Naples, located just 1.54 miles away, which serves a different population and has a 0% graduation rate.

While Mason Classical Academy is dominant overall, there is a notable dip in 4th-grade math proficiency, which at 64% falls below the district average of 76%. This suggests a potential area for curriculum review. The school achieves its exceptional results with a per-student spending of $10,685, which is efficient compared to specialized programs like The Phoenix Program ($26,656). Sustained excellence over time, such as 10th-grade ELA proficiency rising from 69% to 96% over three years, underscores a strong and stable academic culture that makes Mason Classical Academy a standout choice for families seeking rigorous, traditional education.

Open Quote Mason is an incredible school. My daughter loves learning and she feels that she’s being challenged every single day. The teachers are smart, engaged, with a lot of passion to teach, and always happy. We have been to a couple of schools and this is where my daughter strives and enjoys learning, she doesn’t want to go anywhere else. We love it, but most importantly, she does! Close Quote

Open Quote Once was a great school now has turned into a war prison. They knit pick every little thing. They herass students about their uniforms. My son put his backpack on after getting out of the car and it pushed up his coller by accident and was given a demerit .
He is being targeted by teachers because of misbehaving and teachers look for reasons to give him a demerit.
Enough is enough! Close Quote

Open Quote This school is in its third year. Over 800 students now attend this school K-11. Wonderful education - it's the kind of education you assume is taking place in other schools. Students enjoy learning! Charter school = tuition free. The prior 2 years, the school has been "A-Rated" by the FSA scores. That said, this school does not teach to those tests. "they will take care of themselves". Quality education. Close Quote
