Open Quote I used to go to this school as a kid, it was higher rated back then. I’m not sure why it’s so lowly rated now. Now my son goes to this school and he’s doing fantastic and doesn’t want to leave. I don’t really have any complaints to this day. His teachers have all been wonderful. Office is just ok though. All the school events are pretty awesome. And principal is very attentive and caring. Close Quote

Open Quote Just a quick note to say a heartfelt thank you for what has been an excellent year academically and socially for our son. The nurturing school environment has been exactly what he needed, dedicated and excellent teachers that I have encountered throughout the course of my son's education at Hollywood Central Elementary.
Thanks for believing in our son and making him believe in his own abilities.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude and many thanks towards the School, Teachers, office staff, support staff, thank to all the ones who have a big heart and a desire to make the world a better place one kid at a time. Thank you for all your selfless sacrifices. Thank you for taking good care of our child.
My son attended Hollywood Central Elementary from kindergarten-5th grade.
The biggest compliment a teacher can get is when a student goes home and says ‘Mom I had a great day at school’ Our child did that every day.
There is nothing more satisfying for parents than to know that their child is being given the same amount of love and care as at home. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
