Friendship PCS - Technology Preparatory High School is a public charter high school in the Congress Heights/Bellevue area of Washington, DC, serving 307 students in grades 9–12. The school has climbed to 11th of 36 DC high schools in the 2025–26 school year, earning a 4-star rating and placing in the 69th percentile. With a low student-teacher ratio of 7.6:1 and a graduation rate of 91.6% (2023–24), it has become one of the strongest high school options in Wards 7 and 8. This represents a strong turnaround from the 2021–22 school year, when the school ranked 22nd of 30 with just 1 star.

One of the school's standout strengths is literacy. On the 2025–26 DC CAPE ELA assessment, Friendship posted 35.6% proficiency — higher than every nearby school, including Richard Wright PCS for Journalism and Media Arts (34.9%) and Bard High School Early College DC (31.5%). English II end-of-course results are particularly strong at 41.3% proficiency, well above the state average of 38%. The school has also seen remarkable progress for students with disabilities, jumping from the 10th percentile in back-to-back years to the 71st percentile in 2025–26. African American students and students from low socioeconomic backgrounds are also performing well, ranking in the 74th–75th percentiles statewide.

Among nearby schools, only Bard High School Early College DC is a true peer, with a similar graduation rate around 92% and a state rank of 12th. Friendship is more efficient with resources as well: it spends about $34,587 per student, roughly the same as Ballou High School and KIPP DC PCS - Legacy College Preparatory PCS, yet produces far stronger academic and graduation outcomes.
