East Granby School District

The East Granby School District is a small, high-performing public school district in north-central Connecticut serving approximately 873 students across 4 schools, from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, ranked 43rd out of 153 districts in the state with a 4-star rating.

Across the board, East Granby schools consistently outperform Connecticut state averages in nearly every subject. The clear academic standout is East Granby Middle School, which has jumped from the 72nd to the 86th percentile in just two years, ranking 37th of 258 Connecticut middle schools, with particularly strong ELA and science proficiency. East Granby High School maintains a perfect 100% graduation rate and well above-average SAT scores, but it posts a 17.6% chronic absenteeism rate, the only school in the district above the state average. R. Dudley Seymour School has the district's lowest chronic absenteeism (6.2%) and strong elementary science performance.
