Vista Ridge Academy

I am a Kindergarten teacher with over 10 years experience in Teaching. I have experience in working with Public,, Private, charter and Seventh -Day Adventist school district. I have been praying for a Teaching job that I can work with Kindergarten. I am also a Sda Church member. I was blessed to hear the children singing at my church on Sabbath. I spoke with one of the teacher that teach at Vista Ridge on Sabbath. I schedule to come to the school on Monday.

Hi. I was interested to place my son at this school. After going several times to see the school, meet the teacher and do one assessment, the school rejected my son. The stated reason was that they "didn't have the tools to help" my son, implying he had a learning disability. We asked for feedback since all of his prior teachers had said he was just a typical, happy student, but the school did not respond. Afterwards I had other parents suggest to me that the school was discriminating selection based on religion and then I understood that this was the reason. We are Catholic so I guess we don't follow exactly their parameters. I think that it is pathetic that a school would make admissions choices on this basis treating children like that. They say that they are following the God's doctrine but they are obviously discriminating based on religion so I m glad that my son is not going to this school. I don't recommend this school at all and I feel like it is like a sect.
