ZIP code 95403 has two middle schools, both serving grades 7–8: Hilliard Comstock Middle and Piner-Olivet Charter. In 2024–2025, their proficiency results differed substantially, so families will find a distinctly different academic profile at each school. The most important finding is that Piner-Olivet had higher proficiency than Hilliard Comstock in all three subjects, with gaps of 15 to 27 percentage points.
