Summary:
Schools in ZIP code 91423 include four schools: two elementary schools serving kindergarten through grade 5 and two middle schools serving grades 6–8, with no high schools in the set. In 2025–2026, their unweighted average proficiency was 57% in ELA, 46% in math and 42% in science, compared with California’s 49%, 38% and 36%. The key finding is a split: three schools exceeded state results in all three subjects, while High Technical LA Middle was below the state in all three.
Dixie Canyon Community Charter led ELA at 66% and math at 60%; Riverside Drive Charter led science at 52%. At the other end, High Technical scored 45% in ELA, 28% in math and 31% in science. The gaps between the leaders and High Technical were 21 percentage points in ELA, 32 in math and 20 in science. Louis Armstrong Middle also beat state results in every subject, with 55% in ELA, 41% in math and 42% in science. These differences show why one overall “best” label misses the subject-by-subject picture.
Recent test-score changes were mixed: High Technical improved by 6 percentage points in ELA, 4 in math and 4 in science, while Dixie’s science result fell by 13 points; Riverside’s science score rose by 5. SchoolDigger’s statewide percentile ranking rose over three years for Riverside (77 to 79) and High Technical (38 to 48), but fell for Louis Armstrong (74 to 70) and Dixie (85 to 81). School measures offer context, not a clear explanation of results: student-teacher ratios range from 20.6 at Riverside to 23.5 at Dixie among the elementary schools, and all four reported the same low-income measure—free/reduced lunch eligible—in 2024–2025: 63% at Louis, 33% at Dixie, 46% at Riverside and 77% at High Technical.
