Trinity Christian School

For parents who are looking for a true Christian environment and who believe all children should be treated fairly and respectfully, please do your due diligence when it comes to this school. My son was enrolled in the three-year-old preschool class. During his ten days in the class, he was ostracized, belittled, and made to feel inferior to the other children. The teacher insisted that my child had a developmental delay, in spite of the fact that his pediatrician found no cause for concern and said he is developmentally on track with other three-year-old children. I, his mother, am also a licensed clinical Social Worker/ child therapist experienced in recognizing developmental delays, and I do not have any concerns about my son’s development. I felt baffled by the teacher’s assessment of my son. However, my three-year-old son is now saying “mama, I’m brown and I’m different”. Since he never talked about skin color prior to being at this school and because he is enrolled in a new preschool where he is doing well and his current teacher has not expressed any concerns about his development, I am now concerned that the assessment of my son, by the teacher at Trinity Christian School, may have been motivated by her unwillingness to work with students of color. I was led to believe that all children are welcomed at Trinity Christian School, but the treatment my son received from the teacher sends a very clear and different message.
